Kanak Raj is a Class 10 student and founder from Hazaribagh, Jharkhand. He built ExplainMate AI, an education-focused AI initiative, while still in school — proving that age and city are not barriers to building things that matter.

Growing up in a smaller city, Kanak noticed something that bothered him deeply: every innovation summit, every founder conference, every developer community was concentrated in metro cities like Bangalore, Delhi, and Mumbai. Students from smaller cities were left out of the conversation entirely.

Students in Hazaribagh had curiosity, drive, and ambition — but lacked access to startup culture, mentorship, and the kind of peer network that turns ambitious ideas into real products and companies.

Instead of waiting for opportunities to find him, Kanak decided to build them. The Hazaribagh Innovators Summit is his answer — a platform designed to bring world-class founders, investors, and innovators directly to Hazaribagh, and to give the next generation of builders a stage to stand on.

This is not a school annual function. This is the beginning of Hazaribagh's innovation story — and it will grow every year.

The Mission

World-class founders can emerge from any city.

Hazaribagh Innovators Summit exists to close the opportunity gap between metro cities and the rest of India. We believe that talent is equally distributed — opportunities are not. This summit is our attempt to change that.

Why This Matters

What students in Hazaribagh are missing

Startup Culture

Young people in Hazaribagh rarely get exposure to how startups work, from ideation to fundraising.

Founder Networks

Building connections with experienced founders and investors is nearly impossible without access to metro-city ecosystems.

Product Thinking

Students and creators lack structured environments to learn how to build, ship, and iterate on products.

Mentorship Access

Mentorship from experienced entrepreneurs stays concentrated in metros like Bangalore, Delhi, and Mumbai.

Tech Communities

Developer communities, hackathons, and innovation events are rare or absent in smaller cities like Hazaribagh.

Peer Learning

Students with ambitions but no peers who share their drive often lose momentum and direction.
